Mbarara district will soon host western Uganda’s biggest church once the magnificent Day star Cathedral is complete.
The church now in the final stages of construction is headed by Bishop Nassan Ibrahim Turyamureeba who has since launched an online fundraiser for the floor ‘terrazo.’
On Monday, he posted on his Facebook that a one Pastor Noah Kamanzi had surprised him with shs2m in a response to his call for contributions while another Annet pledged the same amount.
“Pastor Noah Kamanzi from Mbarara Town has Suprised me with two million towards the floor terrazzo, Madam Anet from Mbarara town also two million she doesn’t want her Photo to appear here, Apostle Andrew Okusi $30 please my friends join me as one family to say thank you for their Contributions. Also check out in your inbox most of my friends, I’m waiting for your response please. Will keep you updated,” Bishop Nassan posted.
According to his posts, focus of the fundraiser seems to be on the ‘Terrazo floor’ of the church that has been host of many preachers including those from Trump land.
Nassan, a former Muslim who found salvation in Jesus Christ, is a powerhouse in the Pentecostal movement especially western Uganda where his long ministry dates back to the mid 1990s.
