New Soroti Bishop Warns He’ll Not Officiate Weddings Of Ladies With Fake Fingernails, Wigs

The newly Consecrated Bishop of Soroti Anglican Diocese has threatened not to wed Christian couples that have fake finger nails and wigs.

In his Sunday sermon at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Rt. Rev. Bishop Kosea Odongo, said the church will not tolerate indecent dressing and artificial extensions like buttocks, hair, eye brows and nails among others.

“How can God give you hair, and you buy hair, how can God give you buttocks and buy fake buttocks, how can God give you finger nails and buy fake finger nails” – Rt. Rev. Bishop Kosea stated.

He added: Any couple that comes with “fake” bought finger nails, lets not wed them here, that’s wickedness and i don’t want to go to hell cause i never told you.

Quoting the book of Isaiah:52:2 in the Bible, which questions why people spend money on other items other than food, Bishop Odongo challenged women against wearing wigs and putting on artificial fingernails that disguise them in the eyes of the Lord.

Odongo was consecrated last month as the 6th Bishop of Soroti.

Archbishop Stanley Ntagali was the Chief Consecrator along with many bishops from all corners of the Church of Uganda.

During the ceremony he vowed to serve all God’s people irrespective of their denominations.

I refuse to be a Bishop of a section of Christians or clergy, but make a deliberate choice to be a Bishop to all the people of God in Soroti Diocese and beyond,” he said.
