Uganda’s President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni over the weekend shocked many when he said a prayer for the bedridden mother of his Tanzanian counterpart, President John Pombe Magufuli.
President Museveni was visiting neighbouring Tanzania where he held discussions with President Magufuli.
During his visit, Museveni visited Magufuli’s sick mother and prayed for her in both his native Runyankore and English.
“While in Tanzania, I also met and prayed with HE John Pombe Magufuli’s sick mother. I had never met her, this was a very big honour for me to pray with her,” Museveni said on his Facebook page.

“Go and engage in productive services, for instance rear cows, goats, if not
Muslim then try pigs that will result into your personal wealth. I thank you for the warm reception to Tanzania,” Museveni said.
Museveni became the second East African President to reveal that part of his spirituality that was previously unknown to many.
Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta also prayed for Magufuli’s mother during a recent visit to the country.
