The sky is no longer the limit for Henry Ssuubi Kiyimba, the Makerere University freshman who was mocked for carrying a metallic suitcase to campus.

The latest we have gathered is that the French embassy in Uganda has given Ssuubi scholarship to study French and visit the European capital.

“The French Ambassador Jules-Armand Aniambossou today met Makerere University student Henry #Suubi today and offered him a scholarship to learn French language at Alliance Française Kampala. Suubi’s dream is to visit #France🇲🇫 and see La tour EIffel Paris,” a message on the French embassy’s Facebook page reads.

Early this month, social media user took a picture of Henry showing the latter carrying a metallic case as he made his way to the University Hall.

Kiyimba who was initially mocked and scorned by a section of social media users has since drawn admiration of many.

Last week, he was awarded a scholarship to study the course of his dreams (Mechanical Engineering) by Joadah Consult, an Engineering company.

Joadah Consult is running key projects such as the Expansion of Mulago National referral hospital.
