Christian faithful and musicians on Friday thronged The Covenant Nations Church in Luzira, Kampala to offer praise and worship to God in a live recording music concert.
The concert dubbed, “The Covenant Music Launch” was inaugurating the music label attached to the church.
Covenant Music choir together with the Ethiopian Choir electrified Christians with holy tunes of praise and worship to the almighty.
Explaining the significance of the first-ever live recording concert, Pastor Patience Museveni Rwabwogo said it is a way of creating a platform for authentic worship.
“This is our first foray into recording music, we’ve been doing worship in the church but now we feel the Lord, again is calling us to create a platform for authentic African worship,” she said.
Pastor Patience added, “Covenant music is about creating a community for artists to create and produce music that is authentically African. It is our first foray, am not really into the music industry but this is something that the Lord is leading us into and this is our first step.”
The stage was also set for talented star Gideon Mulinde who joined hands with other believers to worship God.
Covenant Nations Church located on Portbell Road in Luzira, is led by First Daughter Pastor Patience Rwabwogo Museveni.
The inaugural Covenant music will definitely change the music industry sphere especially Christian worship and praise music.
Like Pastor Patience revealed in an interview, covenant music will provide a platforms for artists to exploit their talents in the praise and worship arena.
