The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Rt Rev. Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu has urged Ugandans to employ austere measures during this festive season.
His appeal comes as Ugandans are join the rest of the world to celebrate the birth of Christ.
During this period, people pull out their savings to spend on new items, travel upcountry to make merry with thwor families and loved ones.
However, Kaziimba says, families should spend wisely and have something to spare for school fees early next year.
