Rwanda’s Anglican Archbishop Laurent Mbanda has unleashed a war on homosexuality saying marriage must remain a sacred institution.
According top The Chronicles, he made the remarks at the Africa Haguruka Conference now underway in Rwanda’s capital Kigali.
“It was brought to dismantle our families. It’s heresy beyond human intelligence. Let’s return to the Holy Gospel. Marriage of man and woman must remain sacred institution,” he said.
Africa Arise and Shine Initiative, known as Africa Haguruka is an International Christian gathering launched in August 2000 in Kigali, Rwanda, with the aim of awakening Africans on the continent and the diaspora to raise, live Christ-Centered lives and play their pivotal roles in the spiritual, social and economic transformation of this beautiful continent of Africa.”
Africa Haguruka is an occasion to discuss kingdom insights and revelations pertaining to the continent of Africa to make Jesus Christ known and ruler over all spheres of influence on that beautiful continent.
It was initiated by the Authentic Word Ministry/ Zion Temple Celebration Centre under the leadership of Apostle Dr Paul Gitwaza. Africa Haguruka was part of the mandate given by the Lord after the national repentance activities carried out by the Church of Rwanda in aftermath of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi. According to God’s vision, Rwanda would become an incubator to rebirth a new and transformed Africa.
This year’s conference organised under the theme; “Africa, who is your mentor?” ends on July, 30.
