Uganda’s First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Maama Janet Museveni has praised the legacy of her parents, saying their christian calling has greatly impacted her faith.
Mama Janet made the remarks in an interview with Pastor Patience Rwabwogo of Covenant Nations Church. Pastor Patience is also her daughter.
In the telling interview, Maama Janet Museveni, a professed Christian whose work is driven by principles of faith, says her parents (Edward and Erina Kataaha) legacy goes a long way in explaining who she is as a person and that she is grateful for their sacrifices.
“I can confidently talk about what i believe, blessed me in my whole life by learning from them that God blesses people so they can be a blessing to to others,” Mama Janet said.
“…i had come to their family as an answered prayer from my mother’s enduring work on her knees that she cried to God for another child, hence the name Kainembabazi (By God’s grace).”

The interview comes ahead of the launch of the Edward and Erina Kataaha Bible College on Sunday.
Established in 2021 by Covenant Nations Church, Edward and Erina Kataaha Bible College follows in the example of revival pioneers.
They were part of the great East African revival movement that rallied many to find relationships with God in the late 1930s.
