Uganda’s First Lady, Maama Janet Kataaha Museveni has revealed that the ‘need to safeguard families has never been as critical as today.’
The First Lady who is also Minister of Education and sports, made the remarks on Saturday during the launch of Family Life Focus at Makerere University’s Freedom Square.
Family Life Focus, is a brainchild of Life Ministry Uganda.
“I would like to applaud @LIFEMinug for promoting leadership and the sanctity of the family as foundational aspects of God’s purpose for humanity,” Maama Janet said.
She added, “The need to safeguard families has never been as critical as today. As the older generation, we owe it to the children of this nation and those yet to come to change the narrative and to give them hope for a better world tomorrow.”

Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director, Dorothy Kisaka, tipped guests on how to make good leaders, saying God has given us the resource of the Holy Spirit.
“What makes a leader to fly to greater heights. I have identified 3 things. 1) The mandate to lead. What’s your purpose? What’s your role? At every workplace your mandate is always clearly defined. It is what we use in appraisals…God has given us the main resource of the Holy Spirit to enable us go through any situation as leaders,” KCCA ED Kisaka said.
Dr. Lori Beyar, the Global Vice President of Leader Strategies Campus Crusade for Christ International, urged leaders to, “take action within the season for transformation to happen for the glory of God’s kingdom.”
