President Yoweri Kaguta Museven has donated Shs50m towards the construction of Serinya parish priests’ house.
The money was delivered by Hon. Persis Namuganza, the minister of state for lands, housing and urban development on behalf of the President. The Bishop of Masaka Dioceses Serverus Jjumba thanked the President for the gesture towards the church. The Bible says, Go up to the mountains, bring wood and rebuild the temple, that I may be pleased with it. That is exactly what Presidents big heart has decided to do for the Christians in Serinya parish, Bukomansimbi district courtesy of Eng. Joseph Ssewava who hails from the area.
It should be noted that this is not Ssewava’s first effort to mobilise for the people of his area, prior to that he hosted the Member of Parliament for Mawogola North, Shartsi Musharure who also contributed building materials for the same cause.
Hon. Namuganza thanked the church for complementing government programs like Parish Development and promised to deliver church’s gratitude to the fountain of honor.
Ssewava who is the Head political mobilisation in the office of the Presidency, thanked President Museven for forging unity among Ugandans and encouraged the people to support NRM anti poverty programs.
The Bishop thanked Hon Namuganza for being Humble and serving above self.
