The Church of Uganda’s House of Bishops on Wednesday announced the election of two distinguished individuals to lead key dioceses.
On Wednesday, Rev Canon Alfred Muhoozi emerged as the newly elected 3rd Bishop of North Ankole Diocese, while Rev Canon Wilson Kisekka secured the position of the 4th Bishop of Luweero Diocese.
The announcement marked a significant milestone for the Church, as Rev Canon Alfred Muhoozi is poised to succeed in the venerable role of the 3rd Bishop of North Ankole Diocese.
His consecration and enthronement are scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 26th, 2024, at the Emmanuel Cathedral in Rushere.
Simultaneously, Rev Canon Wilson Kisekka, having been elected as the 4th Bishop of Luweero Diocese, is set to assume his responsibilities in a ceremony scheduled for Sunday, March 24th, 2024. The historic St Mark Cathedral in Luwero will host the consecration and enthronement service.
