The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Diana Atwine, says Christmas to her is a time for renewal and a reminder of God’s mercy.
Speaking to the Christian Bulletin in an interview, the PS who professes her love for Christ, said Christians should use this time to reflect on God’s mercy.
“Christmas is a time of reflection on the mercy of God. It is a reminder to me that God carries my burden,” Dr. Atwine said.
She added, “It is also a personal time for divine renewal especially to those who believe. It gives me hope that God is still in the seat of mercy.”
The Christian Bulletin will be publishing the full interview in which Dr. Atwine talks about her journey with God from the time she got born again in 1988.
During the conversation with us, Dr. Atwine appealed to Ugandans to enjoy the festive season responsibly saying statistics on road carnage in the country are worrying.
“We are seeing many accidents during this period, I would like to remind Ugandans to take care of themselves and drive safely. Also, alcoholism is a big problem, live and party responsibly,” Dr. Atwine advised.
